The main and additional tray support printing to paper sized Letter, Legal, or Universal, and the multi-purpose tray supports printing to overhead transparencies, envelopes, index card stock, mailing labels, and banners as wide as 47.24", consistent with other workgroup printers in OkiData's C series. The C5800Ldn supports up to 400 sheets in its main paper tray and 100 sheets in its multi-purpose tray, which can be expanded to 930 sheets by installing a second paper tray with a capacity of 530 sheets. Duplex printing is available in the printer's default configuration, setting the printer apart from a number of other models. The printer has a time to first page of 11 seconds when printing color and 10 seconds when printing in black and white, and a maximum document resolution of 1200 by 600 dpi with a duty cycle of up to 60000 pages each month. The C5800Ldn produces pages at maximum speeds of 24 pages per minute in color and 28 pages per minute in black and white, above industry standard speeds of 20 sheets per minute but below the high speeds of 40-60 pages per minute offered by the highest-end paper handling devices currently available. The printer measures 17.1" by 24.3" by 13.4" and weighs 63.8 lbs with its duplex unit installed, making it consistent in size and weight with most desktop lasers and more than suitable to be stored on top of a table or desk, rather than on a dedicated piece of furniture, like many MFPs and industrial laser printers require due to their larger size. Expandable without being the size of an industrial MFP, many users will likely be pleased with its printing speeds and relatively compact size. The OkiData C5800Ldn is a color desktop laser printer best suited to the small to moderate workgroup environment, offering fast prints in both color and black and white and a fairly robust feature set.
Finally, you must close the top cover of your OkiData C5800 Color Laser Printer. Once the new toner cartridge is inserted, you must push the colored release lever towards the rear side of the machine as far as it will go, and then wipe the corresponding LED head with the included LED lens cleaner. Next, you must slide the left end of the new toner cartridge against the spring inside the corresponding slot, and then lower the right end of the new component into the slot until it is firmly inserted. After that, you must shake the new toner cartridge 8-10 times from side to side, and then remove the protective tape from the bottom of the new cartridge.
Now, you must pull the right end of the exhausted cartridge out of the slot, and then remove the exhausted component by sliding it to the right. In the next step of the replacement procedure, you must unlock the exhausted toner cartridge by pulling its colored release lever towards the control panel. Please note the positions of the installed toner cartridges (control panel – rear side): Black, Yellow, Magenta, and Cyan. Initially, you must press the release button located on the left side of your OkiData C5800 Color Laser Printer, and then open the top cover completely.
